This wonderful bronze sculpture, Warthog Parade by Jonathan Sanders was carefully hand cast by Nelson & Forbes in a British foundry, in an edition of just 250 castings. It is composed of four separate warthogs, which can be arranged as you wish.

Warthog Parade was commissioned and sculpted by Jonathan Sanders after his highly successful 'Warthog Family' sculpture sold out. It is presented in a high quality hand made English gift box and is accompanied by a numbered certificate of authenticity, signed by the artist, Jonathan Sanders.

The certificate was individually printed by hand in Hampshire from an original copperplate engraving, before being signed by Jonathan Sanders. It bears the edition number of your sculpture and is your guarantee that this is an original foundry casting of the sculptor’s work that he has personally approved.

If you would like a family of five warthogs instead of four, ‘Trotting Baby Warthog’ is available to order separately and a makes a wonderful addition to group. (The final photo shows Trotting Baby Warthog displayed with the Warthog Parade).

This bronze casting is a perfect recreation of the artist's original sculpture and took two weeks to create in a Birmingham foundry. It bears the artist's signature and its own unique edition number. Each warthog is cast individually by hand and then each of the five moulds are destroyed. This means that each sculpture is utterly original and so will be very slightly different to the last.

Jonathan has spent many years studying the flora and fauna of Africa up close and he was particularly keen to create a family of warthogs. "They just seem to own the track when they trot down it" he says, "I have endeavoured to capture that self contained assuredness whilst maintaining the fondness I feel when I watch them."

Warthog Parade
Overall Satisfaction
Spotted these a few years ago in a Sunday paper. The timing seemed right to buy them for my husband for Christmas this year especially after we had been on a safari last Easter with the whole family where the warthogs featured heavily.
My husband adores them, very well made with intricate detail, they look fabulous on top of a walnut cabinet, so lifelike. Review by Arlene / (Posted on 1/02/17)
