The cat sculpture was a gift for my sister. It was her 60th birthday, so I wanted something really special that she would treasure. She’s a cat person, she has (3), needless to say she was very pleased. In fact, just yesterday she sent me a pic of her cat Abbey doing the pose of the sculpture! Since buying the sitting cat I have also purchased the Playing Cat. These sculptures are both a source of joy and appreciation for me. Joy at having works of art of a size that I can place them for viewing every day and appreciation of the artistic and foundry skill evidenced by each. Reminds me strongly of my old cat Teddy who loves to play lying on her back with wand toys or to be stroked.

Bought Sue Maclaurin’s cat sculpture for my wife. We have owned cats throughout our long married life, and this sculpture beautifully captures a position we have seen our cats assume many, many times.
